Events Planner

Role Description:

 

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated events planner to manage and execute a variety of events that align with Smarta Energy’s mission and business goals. The ideal candidate will have experience planning corporate events, trade shows, conferences, and customer engagement activities. You will collaborate with our marketing, sales and leadership teams to deliver exceptional events that resonate with both clients and industry professionals.

 

The Role:

  • Plan, organise, and execute a range of events, including conferences, seminars, trade shows, webinars and community outreach activities

  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, sales, leadership) to define event objectives, target audience, and budgets

  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and equipment setup

  • Develop event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule

  • Manage event budgets, including cost estimation, vendor negotiation and expense tracking

  • Coordinate event promotion and marketing activities (working with the marketing team) to ensure optimal event attendance and engagement

  • Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any challenges that arise

  • Collect feedback and post-event data to evaluate the success of each event and suggest improvements for future events

  • Build and maintain relationships with event partners, vendors and stakeholders

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an events planner or similar role

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in event management and software tools

  • Experience with budgeting and cost management

  • Creative and resourceful problem solver, able to adapt to changing situations

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with sustainability or energy sectors is a plus but not required
